LEH and POT will merge on January 1, 2026

In connection with the merger, the associations will take a new common name: Nordic Powertools and Garden – NPG. NPG is the trade association for manufacturers and importers of electric hand tools, machines for park and garden maintenance, batteries, attachments and accessories.

NPG will thus become a stronger, broader and more powerful association. NPG will establish its own office upon the merger and move to the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise in connection with the merger.

With the merger and office relocation, NPG will gain a stronger profile. With a broader base of both manufacturers and suppliers as members, we will become a stronger industry organization that handles more product areas in an innovative way.

NPG will drive issues such as skills supply and next-generation cross-industry projects together with other industry associations and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, says Tobias Johannesson, chairman of the Park and Garden Industry Association.

NPG continues to work on strengthening the organization in related product areas and we also have market statistics at the Nordic level. We need a broader and stronger base for the industry to be more clearly visible in communication with politicians and decision-makers.

This is a good first step to bring the industry together and actively invest more resources in developing the industry to strengthen the competitiveness of our members. In the long run, there are more related industries to expand collaboration with, says Ola Eriksson, chairman of the Swedish Electric Hand Tools Suppliers Association.

For partners such as trade fairs and producer responsibility organizations, this means that they now have a party to discuss with, says Matts Spångberg, Industry Representative NPG.

NPG is one of the larger players with built-in batteries in its products.
